Early Victorian silver snuff box of rectangular cushion shape, the sides embossed with a continuous band of scrolling foliage and flower head motifs, the hinged cover with basket weave decoration and a small central rectangular vacant plaque, and opening to reveal a gilded interior. Hallmarked Neustadt & Barnett (Samuel Isaac Neustadt & David Barnett), Birmingham 1841. Measuring 58 mm by 37 mm, weight 45.5 grams.

Condition Report
Box displays general wear, tarnishing and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Various edge nicks and slightly more wear to the edges and corners. Some slight loss of detail to the basket weave decoration and some more visible scratches to the central rectangular plaque. Hinged cover in good working order. General wear, contact marks and scratches to the gilded interior. Hallmarks legible.
