Lot Description
A late Victorian silver open salt of circular form, embossed bow and swag decoration and porcelain liner, hallmarked Stokes & Ireland Ltd (William Henry Stokes & Arthur George Ireland) Chester 1899. Together with an Edwardian silver sauce boat with frilled rim, high arch scrolling handle and raised above three paw feet, hallmarked Horace Woodward & Co Ltd Birmingham 1909, weight 2.7 ozt (86 grams). Condition Report
Both the open salt and sauce boat display general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing. The sauce boat displays further wear with some tears to the frilled rim and one of the feet has been compressed into the body. The hallmarks are clear and legible apart from the makers mark on the sauce boat which only appears part legible.
