Lot Description

Edwardian silver tazza of shaped circular form, with a shell and scroll rim enclosing a wide pierced border of floral and scrolling foliate motifs, the plain waisted stem leading to a domed circular foot with a conforming pierced border.  Hallmarked Birmingham 1906, maker's mark S.G.  Height measures 5 inches (12.5 cm), maximum diameter measures 10 inches (25.5 cm), weight 15.44 ozt (480.2 grams).

The tazza displays some areas and patches of tarnishing, also general wear, surface marks and scratches.  Some larger, deeper scratches are visible, especially to the plain centre of the dish.  Some minor nicks and small surface dints to some areas of the pierced decoration.  Horizontal seam line visible around the stem.  Remnants of polish to some areas.  Hallmarks are clear and legible.
