Lot Description
George IV silver cruet stand of shaped square form raised above bracket paw feet, leading to a reeded loop frame and four glass inserts. Hallmarked Charles Thomas Fox London 1826. Height measuring 6 inches (15.5 cm), gross silver weight 5.4 ozt (169 grams).

Condition Report
The cruet stand displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Deeper spots and patches of tarnishing to some areas, also deeper scratches and general minor nicks. There are some deeper scratches and contact marks visible to the base of the cruet and four ring marks are visible. Remnants of polish to some areas. On the underside, one of the screws is missing, subsequently the corresponding support is a little loose in the mount. Some of the hallmarks appear rubbed but all are still legible. Hallmarked to base and handle. The glass bottles all display general surface wear, marks and scratches and various small chips and nicks, mainly to edges and rims. Some of these chips are larger in places. There are also general scuffs and contact marks to the underside. One stopper is missing and one of the other stoppers is slightly smaller. There is also a slight variance in the size of the bottles and thickness of the glass.
