Lot Description
Early twentieth century silver mounted desk clock, the silvered dial with Arabic numerals and within a plain silver circular mount, above a short stem leading to a diamond shape base with a personal dedication engraving to the front and standing on four corner bracket feet. Silver hallmarked John Rose, Birmingham 1926. Maximum height measures 4 3/4 inches (12 cm).

Condition Report
The silver mount displays general wear, some areas of tarnishing and general surface marks and scratches. Deeper and heavier scratches to some areas and numerous nicks and small surface dints are visible all over. The dial is in poor condition with many dark marks and patches. Some loss of detail to inscription at the front. Hallmarks are slightly rubbed but still legible. Handle on the winding key is broken. Movement not functioning. Reverse of clock is stamped 'HAC MAKE Made in Wurttemberg'.
