Late Victorian silver mounted dressing table set, comprising hand mirror, a pair of clothes brushes, a pair of hair brushes and a comb, each mount embossed with the Five Graces, hallmarked William Comyns & Sons, London 1899 (comb 1898); together with an Edwardian silver pin tray and two silver topped glass vanity pots, also decorated with the Five Graces, hallmarks for Birmingham 1903/6/7, and a later silver mounted circular hand mirror, hallmarked Birmingham 1912. Condition Report
The pieces are in varied condition but all are quite heavily tarnished and display general wear and surface marks and scratches, commensurate with the age and use. Deeper scratches and marks visible to some pieces and some loss of detail to decoration in places. There also some minor nicks and surface dints visible. Oval mirror plate is loose in the mount. Hole in the comb mount, where one of the pins has come out. Some splits in the metal around the rim of the pin tray. The lid of the cylindrical pot has some small holes in the decoration and is quite dinted. Some rim and edge nicks and chips to glass. Hallmarks are mainly legible.
