Lot Description

A pair of late Victorian silver candlesticks, filled, each raised above octagonal bases, to the tapered stems and detachable sockets, with gadrooning and acanthus leaf detail. Hallmarked Elkington & Co Ltd, London 1895. Height 7 3/4 inches (19.7cm).

Condition Report

The candlesticks display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. One candlestick has small repairs near the top. Detachable sockets have dents. Wear to the top of one of the columns, dents to the bases.
