Condition Report
Both cases display general wear, some tarnishing and general surface marks and scratches, all commensurate with the age and use. The earlier example has some loss of detail to the foliate decoration. The hinge and clasp are in good working order. This example bears two slightly different dates and the push release section bears a different maker's mark. The plain example has numerous nicks and pitted marks in the metal and the clasp is not functioning correctly. Hallmarks are mainly legible.
