Lot Description

Austro-Hungarian silver-gilt box with green guilloché enamel by Georg Adam Scheid, Vienna, standard mark of 900. Length measuring 4.8 cm, weight 71 grams.

The box displays general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use.  There are some minor chips/nicks to the green enamel.  The metal also displays various minor nicks and there are some small surface dints visible to the underside.  There is also more wear to the edges and corners, and also to the gilding in these areas.  Hinges are in working order although there is a slight gap when closed.  The marks to the interior are clear and legible.
