Lot 644

Lot Description

A continental white metal heart shaped snuff box, the hinged body engraved with silver-gilt interior and surmounted with a silver-gilt crown. Initial engraving to the inner rim. Height measuring 64 mm, weight 37 grams.

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

The snuff box displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.  There is slight loss of detail to the decoration in places and it would definitely benefit from a clean and polish.  Hinge and clasp are in good working order.  The initial engraving to the inner rim is pricked and is still clear and legible.
