Lot Description
George III silver mustard pot of straight sided oval form, reeded rims, domed lid, shell thumb piece and scrolling handle, with associated George III silver mustard spoon. Hallmarked William Plummer London 1787, the spoon hallmarked William Sumner London 1800. Height measuring 2 1/2 inches (6.5 cm). Gross silver weight 3.1 ozt (97 grams).

Condition Report
The mustard spoon display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. An engraving has been removed from one side of the mustard. A lip for the spoon has been cut in to the blue glass liner, minor nibbles also visible to the edge. There is a crack to the surface of the silver to the inside of the lid towards the hinge. The stem of the spoon is a little bent. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
The gilding to the bowl of the spoon displays general wear.
