Lot Description
A pair of early 20th century 18ct gold and sapphire Ducal cufflinks. Each designed as an entwined double C monogram, with Ducal crown surmount and square-shape sapphire detail, to the spiral bar back and connecting chain. Length of cufflink face 1.9cms. Weight 5.5gms. With fitted Sy & Wagner case.
Sy & Wagner were the German court jeweller during the reign of Germany's last Crown Prince, Wilhelm.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with scratches in keeping with general wear. Moderate wear to the gilt finish. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue for Coloured Gemstones. The sapphires are a well matched medium blue hue with minor abrasions and some slight colour zoning. The box shows wear, with the Ducal crown to the outside of the box. The box has German script, reading "SY&Wagner" with the address for Berlin.
