Lot Description

A late 19th century 18ct gold ruby hatpin. The tapered finial, with rope-twist and bead floral decoration and cushion-cut ruby accents, to the gold plated pin. French assay marks. Length of finial 1.9cms.

The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. Minor scratches and discolouration to the gold plated pin. Length of pin section 13.8cms. The finial is slightly bent to one side. There are areas of discolouration. One of the ruby mounts is slightly broken.
