Lot Description

A base metal keyless wind open face military issue pocket watch signed Rolex, the black enamel dial with hourly applied luminous Arabic numerals, bordered by a minute track, subsidiary seconds dial to six o'clock, dial numbered A.12987, round case stamped A.8183 G.S.MK II above a British broad arrow, signed calibre 540 with club tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 49mm.

Rolex pocket watch, movement is currently functioning, movement shows noticeable discolouration and dirt, dial is heavily damaged, dial shows scratches and marks from use, there are large chips and areas of damage to the dial these are most visible around eleven and four o'clock points, luminous paint work to the dial is heavily discoloured and lost its shape, there is also chips visible to the luminous paint work, dial shows possible residue from water damage, hands show discolouration, scratches and chips to the metal, glass is scratched from use, case is discoloured and has scratches from use, case shows heavier scratches to the sides of the case, case back shows engraving, bow and pendant are scratched and discoloured.
