A late 19th century brass banded walnut veneered writing box, the hinged rectangular top inset with a presentation panel and lifting to reveal a black leather inset writing surface, fitted inkwell and divisions, 18" (46cm) wide

Catches to lock inner lid are missing. Split to top of box, overall heavy rubbing and wear to both brass and wood. Some scuffs to leather writing surface.
