A 19th century Anglo Indian inlaid coromandel work box, of wavy rectangular outline, the hinged cover inlaid beneath with an elephant within red and black decorated wreath, the interior pitted with two compartmentalised trays, the uppermost with thirteen various compartments each with decorated cover, above ten divisions to the lower tray, eight lidded, 14" x 9.5" x 5.5" (35.5cm x 24cm x 14cm), with key

Some yellowing to lacquer of lid. Front edge shrinking and back edge lifting.
Interior - one leaf loose to inlay beneath lid. Some compartment lids are ill fitting.
