Lot Description

A George III silver fish slice, the blade of triangular-shape pierced chevron and foliate engraved edge, to the part reeded handle. Hallmarked London 1801, probably William Esterbrook, the handle hallmarked London 1800, the maker probably Joseph Taconet. Length 11 5/8 inches (29.5cm).

The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. Very slight black spotting to the blade, the blade has 12 marked in pen. Blade hallmarks clear and legible, the makers mark is slightly rubbed. The hallmarks to the handle are clear, missing assay office, presumed London. Filling to handle.
