Victorian silver mounted glass claret jug, the silver collar with lobed edge to the diamond and star cut glass body. Hallmarked John Grinsell & Sons Birmingham 1891, registration number 178644, retailed by Thornhill New Bond St. Height measuring 8 inches (20 cm).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Heavy areas of tarnishing. Two surface splits to the silver lobed edge under the handle. The hallmarks appear rubbed but legible.
