Lot Description
A George III silver key wind pair case pocket watch by Charles Huntley, London, the white enamel dial with black Roman numeral hour marks surrounded by an outer minute track with Arabic numerals at five minute intervals, plain cases, hallmarked London 1762, makers mark HT, fitted with a signed frosted gilt full plate fusee and chain movement with baluster pillars, verge escapement and pierced balance cock. Outer case diameter 50mm.

A pocket watch, movement is currently functioning, however action of balance appears poor, may require a service, tarnishing to movement, dial has marks and noticeable scratches, visible chip to the edge of the dial by six o'clock, probably caused on an attempt to access the movement, hands are visibly scratched and discoloured, hour hand appears to be touching the dial, minute hand has come loose from pocket watch, glass has medium scratches and would benefit from a clean, case is visible pitted, medium scratches, dented at the edge, engraved initials on case back, outer case has noticeable areas of discolouration, medium scratches and scuffs, dents, small protruding sharp piece from the rear of the outer case, outer case does not close securely.
Please note that the minute hand has come away from the pocket watch and will require attention to reattach it.
