A W.A.S. Benson brass and copper spirit kettle and stand. (William Arthur Smith Benson, 1854-1924), the unmarked copper kettle of pan-topped form with cane-wrapped handle and fruitwood urn finial over octagonally-facetted spout, the brass stand with spirit burner on ring frame with three whiplash supports, the broadening hexagonally-facetted stem with flared foliate surmount over ball knop and four-legged base with stylised pad feet, maker's stamp beneath one foot, total height to top of kettle handle 33.5", (85cm).
