Lot Description

A 1940's silver mug of baluster form with scroll handle and footed base, monogrammed to one side and also engraved throughout with various signatures. Hallmarked Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd., London 1944, also with impressed mark and address to the underside. Maximum height measures 5 inches (12.5 cm), weight 13.9 ozt (435 grams).

The mug displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.  Quite heavy tarnishing visible to some areas and it would benefit from a clean and polish.  Some deeper scratches and nicks are visible throughout and especially to the interior base.  Small gouge visible to the main rim.  Slight rubbing to maker's mark, but main hallmarks are clear and legible.
