Lot Description

A Victorian silver goblet of plain form, the detachable lower body casing, stem and base realistically cast as foliage with pine cones, engraved initials to the underside. Hallmarked Alfred Ivory, London 1876. Height measuring 8 inches (20 cm), weight 14.3 ozt (445 grams).

In good overall condition. The goblet displays general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Heavy tarnishing visible and would benefit from a clean and polish. The hallmarks are clear and legible. Slight knock to the base and wobbles slightly. The foliage stem and base detaches from the body with a screw fitting to the underside. Hallmarks visible to both parts, a little rubbed but clearly legible.
