Lot Description
An early nineteenth century silver snuff box, the oblong cushion form modelled as a present with pricked borders depicting ribbon and punch-work paper, central initial engraving, flush hinges to the lid opening to reveal a silver-gilt interior. Hallmarked Samuel Pemberton, Birmingham, date letter indistinct. Length measuring 4.2 cm, weight 18 grams.

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some wear and rubbing to the decoration with loss of detail. Minor dints. The hinge is quite loose with the lid easily opening and does not hold shut. Debris to the interior. Gilding a little worn. The hallmarks are quite distorted, marked only to the main body, no marks to the lid.
