A pair of George III large silver casters, the baluster form with later floral scroll embossing and pierced detachable covers. Hallmarked London 1782, with the maker's mark S.W. Height measuring 9 inches (23 cm), gross combined weight 21.7 ozt (676 grams).

In good overall condition. The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

Dent to one of the covers. Cartouche vacant. Hallmarks rubbed, to one caster more than the other, the lids also have full hallmarks to the rims, these are also rubbed. The maker's mark could also read J.W?.
