Lot Description
A late 19th century 18ct gold hardstone cameo brooch. The circular-shape hardstone cameo carved to depict the side profile of a lady, within a curved surround with cannetille and rope-twist detail. Diameter 4.1cms. Weight 21.6gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. There are scratches and areas of discolouration to the outer surround. There are some dents near to the hinge and a couple of visible dents to the rim. The cameo is in good condition with some dirt to the detail. There are some areas of discolouration to the rope-twist detail. The back pin and catch is secure. There is a wear mark to the reverse where the jump ring has worn to the sides.
