Lot Description
A late 18th century gilt key wind pair case pocket watch by John Wightwick, London, the white enamel dial with black Arabic numeral hour markers surrounded by an outer minute track, the circular inner case, having spurious marks, fitted with a signed frosted gilt full plate fusee and chain movement with verge escapement and pierced balance cock. Outer case diameter 48mm.

A gilt pair case pocket watch, the key wind movement is currently functioning, the dial is cracked between one and seven o'clock, it also has circular scratches going around the whole dial, close to the numerals, tiny spots and discolourations visible to the centre, hands are heavily tarnished, glass appears to be in the same state, inner case is discoloured and gold plating came off in many places, gold plating from bow and pendant also rubbed off, outer case appears to be in the same state, generally watch appears to be worn.
