A matched pair of Howard & Sons 'Bridgewater' armchairs
Late 19th century, the overstuffed back and arms on a deep T-shaped seat, both covered in Howard & Sons green printed fabric with initials 'H & S' (one fabric intact, the other requires recovering), raised on square tapering forelegs, one rear leg stamped '17771 63 HOWARD & SONS LTD BERNERS ST', the other '16255 6398 HOWARD & SONS LTD BERNERS ST', the brass swivel castors all stamped "HOWARD & SONS LTD LONDON, 27" seat width x 33" high, (68.5cm x 84cm), (2)).
