A late 19th century German ebonised two-train bracket clock.
Winterhalder and Hoffmeier.
In the George III taste, the 6-inch lacquered brass rectangular plate with 4.5-inch silvered chapter ring having Roman hours and Arabic minutes with cruciform half-hour divisions framing a matted centre, ting-tang movement, striking on two blued steel coiled gongs, stamped 'D. R. PATENT W & H SCH', the case with ogee caddy top and flambeau urn finials over arched glazing and cast terms between arched frets and carry handles on a plinth base with 1888 dedication inscription, raised on paw feet, 17" (43cm) high.

Rubbing to silvered chapter ring. Movement appears sound but is untested. Case- minor rubbing to edges, faint cracking to door, some scuffing here and there, one side moulding missing.
