An early 19th century French brass 'pendule d'officier' travelling clock, the 3-inch white-enamelled dial with blue Roman hours and black Arabic minutes, single train timepiece movement, stamped to the inner face of the rear plate 'Japy Freres & C/E MED. D'HONNEUR', the break-arched case with cast swing handle, basket cresting and pine cone finials over stop fluted columns ,the sides with lattice and quatrefoil flower head tracery, on an ebonised platform with guilloche side mounts on turned feet, 8" (20cm) high excluding handle.

Condition Report
Dial -Staining between V-VI, haircracks between VI-VII. Movement- need a clean but appears sound. Case- Some casting flaws both to archa and to base of one side panel, some pitting, rear door quite thin sheet, has minor splits.
