A George III silver teapot stand, of oval form with raised reeded border, a central oval cartouche with engraved monogram and raised above four reeded feet. Hallmarked Henry Chawner & John Eames, London 1797. Length 6 1/2 inches (16.5 cm), weight 4.22 ozt (119.6 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. There are light dents to the main body. The cartouche is slightly off centre and the detail is rubbed but clear.  The hallmarks and maker's mark are clear and legible, partly rubbed.
