Lot Description

A George II silver cream jug with later floral embossing, scrolling handle and standing on three shell mounted feet, hallmarked possibly London 1744, height measuring 4 inches (10 cm). Together with an Edwardian silver cream jug, hallmarked William Aitken, Birmingham 1907. Gross weight 5.3 ozt (166 grams). (2).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Heavy tarnishing visible and would benefit from a clean and polish, particularly the Georgian example. Numerous dints and bumps, both with dents to the lips and rim, along with some edge tears. Hallmarks very worn to the Georgian example, clear and legible to the Edwardian example.
