Lot Description

A Victorian silver teapot of squat form, florally embossed to the leaf capped scrolling handle, floral finial and conforming bracket feet. Hallmarked John Tapley, London 1838. Height measuring 6 inches (15 cm), weight 26.7 ozt  (833 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

Minor dents and bumps. Cartouche appears vacant. A little rubbing and loss of definition to some of the decoration. The Handle is a little loose. Ivory insulators cracked.
