Lot Description

An Edwardian set of ten silver apostle top spoons, each with a spiral twist stem leading to a shell bowl, hallmarked William Devenport, Birmingham 1901. Together with a set of six late Victorian silver-gilt pastry forks with cube terminals, hallmarked Mappin & Webb Ltd., Sheffield 1899, a Victorian silver salt spoon, a silver plate novelty spoon and a silver plate pastry fork. Weighable silver 4.5 ozt (143 grams).

Total lot weight: No

All the items in the lot display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.  Some of the spiral twist stems on the apostle spoons are a little bent, as are a couple of the stems of the pastry forks.  The bowls have faired quite well, some minor dints and bumps.  The fork prongs have also faired quite well.  The hallmarks are mainly clear and legible.
