Lot Description
A James I pair of silver seal top spoons with decorated seal terminals. Hallmarked London 1615, maker's mark of a C enclosing a M, see Jackson English Goldsmiths and their marks, 1607-8. Length measuring approximately 6 3/8 inches (16 cm), gross weight 3.1 ozt (98 grams).

Condition Report
The spoons displays significant wear and tear with general scratches, marks, wear and heavy tarnishing. Both V-notch joints to the terminals are visible, one with visible repairs and floods of solder. Detail to seal terminals has rubbed with some loss of definition. File marks and acid test visible to the lowers stems. Striking edges of the bowls are worn down, also with a little denting to this edge. Hallmarks overall are legible, partly miss-struck or worn, in particular the date letter to one.
