Lot Description
An Italian silver and enamel box, stamped 800, of shaped outline with foliate scroll decoration to the underside, the hinged lid with figurative enamel panel to the centre and opening to reveal a gilded interior with mirror. Marked to the interior with 800 in an oval cartouche alongside maker's mark '278 FI', also marked Coppini & Co. Maximum length measures 6 cm, gross weight 41.7 grams.

Condition Report
The box displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Several deeper scratches and nicks visible to the enamel and some edge chips. Traces of gilt decoration to the blue enamel panels in the border. Hinge and clasp are in working order. The marks are clear and legible.
