An early twentieth century group of three trinket boxes to include an oval embossed pot with frilled rim and hinged lid, hallmarked S Blackensee & Sons Ltd, Birmingham 1900. Together with a small heart shaped pill box with embossed scene of a couple surrounded by trees, hallmarked Gourdel Vales & Co, Birmingham 1902, and a larger circular box lined trinket or jewellery box, with shaped rim, vacant central cartouche and raised above a footed base, hallmarked Sir John Bennett Ltd, Birmingham 1911. Condition Report
All three boxes display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Deeper scratches and marks visible to some areas, also some surface dints and bumps. Some loss of surface detail to raised decoration. There are a couple of small holes in the embossed decoration of the lid of the oval box. Hinges are generally in working order. Some rubbing to hallmarks but still legible.
