Lot Description
A Victorian silver heart shaped trinket box, with crimped protruding rim to the cover and base and embossed throughout with scrolling foliage and floral motifs, with central vacant heart cartouche to the lid. Hallmarked London 1888 with maker's mark 'JB'. Maximum length measures 4 inches (10 cm), weight 3 ozt (94 grams).

Condition Report
The box displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some splits/cracks starting to appear around the crimped edge. Some slight loss of surface detail to the raised decoration in places. Some slight surface dints and bumps, mainly visible to the underside. There are also a number of very deep scratches visible to the interior base. Hinges are in working order. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
