Lot Description
A late Victorian ivory handled silver presentation trowel, the blade bright-cut engraved with scrolling floral border surrounding a presentation inscription, with tapered columnar silver handle leading to the carved ivory handle, with bulbous finial decorated with a frieze of leaf and flower motifs. Hallmarked Atkin Brothers, Sheffield 1899, the ferrule hallmarked 1896. Length including handle 13 inches (35.5 cm).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. Patches of discolouration evident to the silver, with slightly deeper scratches to the reverse, small knocks to the edge of the blade. The ivory handle has small patches of discolouration, scratches and scuffs but is otherwise in good condition.
