Lot 105

Lot Description

An early twentieth century silver three piece condiment set in Art Nouveau style, comprising a mustard pot and a pair of open salts, each of tapering oblong shape above a footed base and embossed with tendril motifs to each side, all with blue glass liners.  Hallmarked Horace Woodward & Co Ltd., Birmingham 1909 and 1911.  Silver weight 6 ozt (187.4 grams).

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

The pieces display general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use.  Some heavier tarnishing is visible to some areas and they would all benefit from a clean and polish.  Some deeper scratches, also heavier wear and contact marks to the undersides.  Some of the maker's marks are a little distorted, however the hallmarks are all legible.  Large rim chip to one of the glass liners.
