Lot Description
An early 20th century 9ct gold amethyst and split pearl brooch. The oval-shape amethyst, within a split pearl scrolling surround, to the bead accents. One imitation pearl replacement. Length 2.9cms. Weight 7.1gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear and discolouration in keeping with age. Replacement base metal pin. Replacement safety chain. Wear to the gilt surface. One imitation pearl replacement. Amethyst slightly uneven in outline. Purple with pale colour saturation. Fairly good clarity with large typical inclusions. Split pearls vary slightly in hue, some possible replacements. Some of the settings are slightly misshapen. Creamy to silvery hues. Fair skins with surface blemishes. Fairly good lustre. Stamped 9ct.
