Lot Description
A 1920's silver biscuit box, of plain oval outline with reeded foot rim and twin lion mask and drop ring handles, the hinged lid with central monogram and conforming reeded border. Hallmarked Atkin Brothers, Sheffield 1921. Length of box measures 7 1/4 inches (18.5 cm), weight 26.14 ozt (813 grams).

Condition Report
The box appears in fair to good overall condition, displaying some general wear including surface scratches and marks and some tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Several deeper scratches and nicks are visible throughout, also some slight dints. Remnants of polish to some areas. Hinged lid in working order, however a slight gap remains when in the closed position. Monogram is very rubbed and worn. The hallmarks are clear and legible, also lion passant mark to each ring handle. The underside is impressed 'E.E.Bishop Bournemouth'.
