Lot Description

A pair of 1930's silver dishes, each of plain pedestal form with a shaped and applied rim decorated with a stylised border of repeated leaf motifs. Hallmarked Elkington & Co Ltd., Birmingham 1937. Maximum height measures 3 3/8 inches (8.6 cm), maximum diameter 6 1/8 inches (15.5 cm), weight 11.3 ozt (351.3 grams).

In fair to good overall condition, both dishes displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.  Several heavier scratches and marks are visible to both.  Some minor shallow dints.  Both with impressed numbers 32385 to the underside.  The hallmarks appear a little rubbed in places but are still clearly legible.
