Lot Description

A pair of early Victorian silver Fiddle pattern table spoons with initialled terminals, hallmarked Charles Boyton (I), London 1841. Together with a further Victorian Fiddle pattern condiment spoon, hallmarked London 1844, same maker, and a George III Old English pattern silver teaspoon. Combined weight 5.47 ozt (170 grams).

In fairly poor and used overall condition, all pieces displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing. Numerous heavier marks and nicks, especially to spoon bowls. The bowls of the tablespoons display some dints and bumps and are a little ground down around the edges and tips. The bowl of the Georgian teaspoon is in very poor condition with several little dints and the metal feels very thin. The hallmarks to the Victorian spoons are clear and legible. Maker's mark is indistinct on the teaspoon, other marks are legible.
