Lot Description

A pair of 1920's filled silver and enamel dwarf candlesticks, each designed as a green guilloche enamel wide foot rim, with central tapered stem and bowl. Maker's mark rubbed, possibly James Deakin & Sons, Birmingham 1927. Diameter of base 3 3/8 inches (8.6 cm).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. One candlestick is deficient its wooden base plate. Significant discolouration. Wear to hallmarks and maker's marks. Minor losses to edges of both enamel panels, one with significant enamel loss towards the candlestick section. Slight dents to the candlestick bowls.
