Lot 458

Lot Description

A 1930's cased set of silver coffee spoons in Old English Bead pattern, hallmarked Arthur Price & Co Ltd., Birmingham 1931. Together with a set of 1920's silver coffee spoons, each with a tapering stem leading to an arched finial, hallmarked James Dixon & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1927. Combined weight 6.53 ozt (203 grams).

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

In fair to good overall condition, all spoons in the lot displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some flattening and loss of definition to the beaded rims of the 1930's spoons. Some slightly heavier wear around the edges and tips of the bowls but they all appear to have faired quite well. Some slight rubbing but the hallmarks and maker's marks are all clear and legible.
