The case displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Slight loss of surface detail to the engraved decoration. On the back of the case, there are two small areas where the decoration has completely worn away or been rubbed/scratched. These areas show as slight dints to the interior. Various edge nicks. Hinged lid and clasp appear in good working order. The pocket watch mount is base metal, cracks to the white dial. The hallmarks and part hallmarks are clear and legible, slight distortion to maker's marks.
