Lot Description
A George IV Scottish silver mustard pot, the cylindrical form with gadrooned rim, the hinged lid with initial engraving, shell thumb piece and replacement blue glass liner, Hallmarked George McHattie, Edinburgh 1823. Height inclusive of thumb piece measuring 2 3/4 inches (7 cm), gross silver weight 4.7 ozt (147 grams).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
Minor dints and bumps. The lid a little rubbed with loss of definition, the initial engraving also rubbed. Hinge loose, allows sideways movement. The glass liner present is small for the mustard and presents with a number of chips. Hallmarks partly worn to the body. Interior appears previously gilded. Complete with an associated silver plated mustard spoon.
