Lot Description

An Edwardian silver vesta case converted to a lighter, the shaped oblong form with foliate scroll engraving and initialled cartouche, hallmarked Birmingham 1903, height measuring 4.2 cm. Together with an Edwardian silver card case with embossed scroll border, central engine turned decoration with monogrammed cartouche, hallmarked Samuel M Levi, Birmingham 1904, height measuring  3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm). Gross weight 2.8 ozt (88 grams). (2).

The lot displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The card case is quite concave in appearance and with a number of dents. Hinges and clasps in good working order. Both with personal inscriptions.
