A Victorian silver bobbin case modelled as a suitcase with leather straps, the hinged body opening to the further hinged bobbin holders. Hallmarked Sampson Mordan & Co, London 1875. Width measuring 5.3 cm, 58 grams.

In very good overall condition. The lot displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Hinge and clasp in good working order. One detachable bobbin with maker’s mark and duty mark only. Hallmarks are clear and legible.
