A mid Victorian gold garnet and diamond snake necklace, circa 1860. The front designed as a garnet cabochon snake head, with diamond point eyes and nose, suspending a garnet cabochon drop, to the articulated chain and push-piece clasp. Length 41cms. Weight 18.7gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Diamond fairly well matched.
<li>Diamond point eyes and nose fairly bright.<p>
<li>Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.<p>
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Garnets well matched with medium red to purple body colour, well saturated, with moderate clarity and typical inclusions.<p>
