A mid Victorian gold garnet and diamond snake necklace, circa 1860. The front designed as a garnet cabochon snake head, with diamond point eyes and nose, suspending a garnet cabochon drop, to the articulated chain and push-piece clasp. Length 41cms. Weight 18.7gms.
